Pennco Evacuations

        CLEVELAND, OHIO -- Due to today's recent terrorist activities in New York City and Washington, D.C., Cleveland's downtown area was evacuated for safety precautions.  Pennco Corp.'s corporate headquarters, located within Tower City, were evacuated.  In addition, Pennco's top subsidiaries Penn Central Transportation Company (Philadelphia, Penn.) and Pennsylvania Truck Lines (Pittsburgh, Penn.) both were evacuated as well.  All headquarters staff were safe and accounted for.
         Pennco has pledged to support President Bush in efforts to find those responsible for the terrible tragedies that have befallen the United States.  "We will do all we can to assist the President and cooperate with all government agencies involved in the investigative process," stated Edward Claypole, CEO - Pennco Corp.
         Penn Central Transportation Co. has suspended service into and out of New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C.  Security along major rail lines and many yards along the system has been tightened considerably.  Many special agents have been dispatched, especially along Amtrak routes.  The Penn Central Police Dept. will be working with all local authorities and assist where needed.

Pennco Opens on VASM

          CLEVELAND, OHIO  --  In a press release, Edward Claypole, CEO of Pennco Corporation announced that his company has joined the VA Stock Market. Claypole stated, "We at Pennco are pleased to join VASM, a well-known stock market in the virtual world."

          For those who are unfamiliar with Pennco, the corporation is headquartered in Cleveland, and it is a diversified holding company of services ranging from transportation to insurance coverage. Pennco was formed in 1968 by the consolidation of the Pennsylvania Railroad and New York Central System's holding companies. Pennco holds ownership of a number of companies across the Eastern United States. One such company is the Penn Central Transportation Company, headquartered out in Philadelphia. The conglomerate also holds Pennsylvania Truck Lines that is headquartered out of Pittsburgh.
